OUR STORY

Why nobody had
built this yet.

Existing recruiting tools serve one side of a five-sided problem. The athlete uploads film no recruiter ever watches. The high school coach maintains a spreadsheet from 2014. The college recruiter pre-empts violations they can’t see coming. The parent is in the dark. The independent consultant runs the whole business out of email. ScoutStreak treats all five as one network.

01 · THE WHY

$3B was going
to the wrong tools.

The U.S. college recruiting market is a $3B engine. NIL collectives, the House v. NCAA settlement, and a wave of new contact-rule revisions have rewired every incentive in the system. And yet every legacy platform was architected for one side of a five-sided problem — Hudl for film, NCSA for athlete-broadcast, 247Sports for evaluation, FieldLevel for coach reach, and a fragmented cottage industry of independent consultants running on email.

No platform has been built as the system of record for all five roles at once. So coaches keep using spreadsheets, athletes keep shouting into the void, consultants stitch together Notion and DocuSign, and compliance officers manually review every outbound message a recruiter sends. ScoutStreak exists because the five-sided system was the obvious move and nobody had taken it.

02 · THE APPROACH

Build it as
one network.

ScoutStreak is a single graph, not four separate products stapled together. Every athlete profile, every coach endorsement, every recruiter touch reinforces every other role’s view of the network. The flywheel compounds — more athletes means better recruiter signal, which means more coach adoption, which brings in more parents, which brings in more athletes.

The technical bet is that real AI per-athlete is finally cheap enough. With aggressive caching, twelve engines run against every active user for roughly $20/month at 1,000 monthly active users — well inside the unit economics that kill most consumer AI products.

03 · PRINCIPLES

Lines we won’t
cross.

  • 01

    Real AI, not templates.

Every Score Coach action plan, every scouting report, every recruiting letter is a real GPT-4o-mini call against the athlete's actual data. Not a Mad Lib with their name dropped in.

  • 02

    Verified, not viral.

A ScoutStreak Score is built from proof: verified film, coach-attested benchmarks, transcript-validated GPA. We will never sell a number that isn't backed by evidence.

  • 03

    Compliance prevented, not documented.

Every other platform logs violations after they happen. ScoutStreak refuses to send a message that would create one. Recruiters work inside the contact rules; the system does the math.

  • 04

    Sport-aware to the bone.

A football LB and a volleyball OH are not interchangeable rows in a database. 14 sports ship with their own position taxonomies, season windows, evaluation periods, and stat conventions.

  • 05

    Privacy-respecting from day one.

No third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, no session replay tools. Athlete data is theirs. We sign data-processing terms with every essential vendor and that's the entire third-party surface.

04 · FOUNDER

Samuel Winnett.

Samuel grew up in a small town in West Virginia, watching extraordinary talent get overlooked for the simplest, dumbest reason: nobody could see them. Geography decided who got recruited. ScoutStreak exists because that variable shouldn’t exist anymore.

With the internet routing recruiter attention efficiently and a five-sided network operating as one system, no athlete should have to uproot a family just to be visible. Every kid gets the same shot — regardless of zip code, regardless of which conference plays the closest school.
